This year, make a New Year’s Resolution you’ll actually keep!

Isn’t it odd how we typically need a vacation after our vacations? After the Holidays wear you out, get recharged and refocused with community and purpose in 2008.

discontent.jpgIn January, Glenkirk’s small groups will begin a three-month study of Bill Hybel’s Holy Discontent, a book that helps us identify our God-given passions and make a difference in the world.

We’re challenging every group to join us in this unifying study as we seek to discover the passions God has placed in our hearts and work to serve God in those together.

During the study, we will also hold three monthly leadership meetings, giving your group ideas, information, and tools to help you grow and build momentum.

So get involved! We’re asking groups to commit to three things:

- Join the study as a group.

- If you meet two times a month, commit to add one meeting a month so we can stay on the same schedule and have more chances to share and connect as groups* (Meet the first three weeks of the month and take the last week off).

- Send a leader or group representative to our informational meeting on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. You’ll receive all the information you need to dive into this study in January, including a packet with the first four weeks of group meeting guides! (RSVP to Arleen Kaye (AKaye [at] glenkirkchurch [dot] org - replace the [at] with @ and the [dot] with a .) or by calling 626-914-4833.

Plan for your group to join us as we seek to love God, love people, and make a difference in the world in 2008!

If you have any questions, email Jon at glenkirkgroups@gmail.com or call the church office at 626-914-4833.

* There will be an additional study written each month for the fourth week for groups that are currently meeting weekly.
